Meet the Founder
Our founder brings lived experience, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to the community that shaped her.

Chief Executive Officer
Angela U. is of Nigerian descent and was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. Today, she works in the same underserved community that shaped her, bringing a deep personal commitment to creating meaningful, positive change. Throughout her career, Angela has served diverse populations, including foster youth, older adults, and adults living with mental illness.
Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge in 2009 and associate degrees in Child Development, Liberal Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies from Los Angeles Southwest College in 2014, along with her Site Supervisor credential.
She earned her Master of Social Work from USC in 2017 with a concentration in mental health, then applied her expanded expertise to support at-risk children and families in the community where she was raised.
From 2019 through 2024, Angela mentored children and young adults through career development, financial literacy, confidence building, and essential life-skills education. In 2025, she founded Over and Beyond. In 2026, she became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, strengthening the organization’s trauma-informed, person-centered programs.
